Jewelry Fair at the Walters

Twenty of the country’s finest jewelers will gather on the Walters Art Museum Sculpture Court in November for Classical Links: Jewelry Fair. The sixth annual jewelry event will feature pieces varying in style from traditional to contemporary as well as in materials from copper and clay to precious jewels and platinum. A weekend of beautiful jewelry will kick off Friday, highlighted by a morning fashion show and an opening night party. Informal gallery talks with Walters curators and jewelers will also take place throughout the weekend. Join them as they discuss ancient and modern techniques, linking the past with the present.

Jewel Box Breakfast and Fashion Show
WHEN: Friday, November 20, 9:30 a.m.

PRICE: $35, includes continental breakfast and weekend admission fee

Classical Links: Jewelry Fair at the Walters kicks off with a fashion show led by Ray Mitchener, owner of Baltimore’s Ruth Shaw Boutique. Jewelry from exhibiting artisans will be showcased, modeled by students from the Baltimore School for the Arts. Guests will enjoy a light breakfast as they watch the show.

Gallery Talks
WHEN: Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

PRICE: Free

Join Walters curators and exhibiting jewelers for a series of informal lectures. Discussion will focus on significant jewelry objects from the Walters collection and comparisons between modern and ancient jewelry-making techniques.

Opening Night Cocktail Party

PRICE: $75, includes weekend admission fee to the Jewelry Fair

An elegant evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Guest will have the opportunity to admire beautiful jewelry, make a special purchase and visit with exhibiting jewelers.
