First Fridays at The Walters

First Fridays at the Walters are back and the perfect place to start the night out right! Starting October 2nd First Fridays is the place to delight the senses and entertain the soul!

This season kicks off with Master of the Macabre: A Night at the Museum with Edgar Allan Poe. The night starts at 5:30 pm and goes until 8:30 pm. Events of the evening include macabre melodies presented by Peabody student muscian Adam Pearl, a macabre scavenger hunt of the Chamber of Wonders gallery hosted by Curator Joaneath Spicer and a performance by renowned Edgar Allan Poe impersonator Tim McBride who will present readings from The Raven and other famous works.

Galleries that will on view for the evening include Chamber of Wonders, Arms & Armor, the Collector’s Study and 17th Century Dutch Cabinet Rooms. There will also be a cash bar available featuring the specialty cocktail Poe’s Punch.

All of this is available for FREE. If you are a fan of Edgar Allan Poe and his work you do not want to miss this free event at the Walters on Friday, October 2nd from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The Walters Art Museum is located at 600 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD.

Unfortunately First Friday for February has been cancelled due to the approaching snow storm, but please mark your calendars for the First Friday in March, Tokyo Nights!
