The Holidays in Baltimore

It’s Christmas time in the City! There is so much to do in Baltimore over the holidays, this might be a long posting. From the 2nd Annual Figgy Pudding Race in Fells Point to the Hampden’s “Miracle on 34th Street” light display there is something for everyone this December in Baltimore. Here are a few key “not to miss” Baltimore holiday classics:

-B&O’s Festival of Trains: November 28 through December 30 11am-4pm 901 West Pratt St

Get on track for the holidays with the B&O Railroad Museum’s Festival of Trains. Visit the Renowned display of model railroads, holiday entertainment and even a train ride with Santa!
-Miracle on 34th Street Light Display: Throughout December dusk-11pm 34th Street, Hampden

Read any book about great holiday light displays of America and you’ll find that Hampden’s Miracle on 34th Street makes the list. Every house on the 700 block of 34th street goes all out for the holidays decorating with aluminium trees, glowing candy canes, Christmas trees made of hubcaps and lights, lights, lights!
-The Great Fells Point Figgy Pudding Race: Decemeber 13 9am Broadway Square,Fells Point


This festive 5k race features some of the best views of Fells Point decorated for the holidays. Runners recieve a tee shirt and a free pint of Guiness at a nearby pub. Nothing warms the heart like a good run!
-Santa’s Place at the Inner Harbor: November 17 through December 24 12pm-5pm Inner Harbor


Have your picture taken with Santa as he takes a break from the North Pole to visit Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Located between the Light Street Pavilions, Santa’s Place is covered in lights and filled with the joy of the holiday season.
-Winter Break at the Walters Art Museum: December 26 through January 1 11am – 3pm 600 North Charles Street

Enjoy a kid friendly winter wonderland filled with hands-on activities, games, books, costumes and carts-o-art.
-The Polar Express at the National Aquarium December 1 through January 6 various times 501 East Pratt St
